Privacy Policy
Last updated June 2026
Komin (“we”, the “app”) is a social game that helps people put their phones down and talk. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. We collect as little as possible.
What we collect
- Account: your email address (used to send a sign-in code), and a display name you choose.
- Optional profile: an avatar image you upload, or — if you sign in with Google — your Google profile photo and name. Apple sign-in does not share a photo.
- Gameplay: session data such as the fires you join, time spent phone-free, and in-game events (who lifted a phone, verdicts, payouts). This powers your history and the end-of-session recap.
- Technical: basic device and log information needed to run the service securely.
How we use it
- To create and secure your account and let you sign in.
- To run the game and show your sessions, crew, and phone-free stats.
- To generate the optional shareable recap card.
We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for advertising.
Who processes your data
- Supabase — authentication, database, and file storage (our backend).
- SendGrid (Twilio) — delivering sign-in code emails.
- Google / Apple — only if you choose to sign in with them.
Retention
We keep your data while your account is active. You can delete your account at any time from the app (Settings → Delete account), which removes your profile and associated data.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (e.g. under the GDPR), you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to object to certain processing. To exercise these, use in-app account deletion or contact us.
Children
Komin is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country), and we don't knowingly collect their data.
Changes
We'll update this page if our practices change, and revise the date above.
